I am a physicist working in the Physics Department of the University of Algarve, Portugal, where I teach and research at CEOT - Centro de Electrónica, Optoelectrónica e Telecomunicações.

My general background is on plasma physics and light scattering. Currently, my interests are focused on the application diffuse reflectance spectroscopy for the non-destructive determination of vegetable tissue properties. This includes the determination of internal quality of fruit and monitoring of phytopathologies in trees. You may take a look at more detailed information in the links above.
