[2012-2014] Title: ImplantableOrganic Nano-Electronics (I-ONE) FP7-NMP-2011-SMALL-5 Work programme topic: NMP2011.1.4-4 Nanotechnology based implantable and interfaceable devices.
The vision of I-ONE is to fabricate and test a multifunctional implantable circuit targeted to repair Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). The device integrates: (i) organic electronics devices based on the organic field effect transistor (OFETs). They serve for supplying local electrical stimuli (ii) transducing neuralsignals; (iii) restoring the interrupted synapsis; (iv) sensing inflammation; and (v) local delivery on-demand of drugs, neuro-transmitters, inhibitors, and growth factors. [2012-2014] Title: Technology& Design Kits Development for Printed-Electronics (TDK4PE) Small or medium-scale focused research project (STREP) ICT Call 7 ,FP7-ICT-2011-7
The goal of Technology & Design Kit for Printed Electronics (TDK4PE) is to set a fundamental change in the way printed electronics (PE) are designed and manufactured in Europe, with the aim of reducing costs and time-to-market by more than an order of magnitude for more complex designs than ever before by addressing thousands of transistors on a substrate. The key is to develop a methodology to enable application-specific PE circuit implementation. This will be achieved by adopting a methodology similar to the silicon microelectronics one: using a Technology and Design Kit to abstract physics to a point where engineers could address physical design with sufficient certainty and great freedom for creativity. This TDK will support circuit design at physical, full-custom, and cell-based levels. |

[2010-2012] Network of Excellence (NoE) FlexNet Title: Network of excellence for building up Knowledge for better System Integration for Flexible Organic and Large Area Electronics (FOLAE) and its exploitation.
In the Network of Excellence (NoE) FlexNet 17 participants from eleven European countries work together in order to support Europe in becoming the world leader in the field of Flexible, Organic and Large Area Electronics (FOLAE). FlexNet aims at interlinking Europe's FOLAE-expertise in the domains of science, technology development, components, devices and systems integration technologies. FlexNet is divided in four tematic platforms dealing with Critical Research Issues, Materials&Devices Integration, Systems Integration as well as Knowledge, Dissemination and Transfer to Industry. |
