Adriano
Pimpćo holds a degree in Finance from the Technical
University of Lisbon (ISCEF, 1972), has a Diploma of Advanced Studies in
Public Economics from the University
of Paris X-Nanterre (1980) and a PhD
in Economics from the Simon
Fraser University
(1995). He is a full Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Algarve,
where he teaches in the areas of Economics and Management.
Research Interests
His main research
interests include Public Economy and Regional Development. He has been doing
research in the field of Economic Modeling, with
special emphasis on the Input-Output Context and Cost-Benefit Analysis. Other
areas of interest are Economics, Health Assessment Project Management, Public
Policy and Regional Governance. Recently, he has been coordinating research
projects in the area of air transportation ("Low Cost" airlines and
Tourism).
